Hockley Valley Resort is a lovely getaway with breathtaking views and a peaceful atmosphere, especially during our stay on the long weekend. The amenities were enjoyable and the staff were accommodating and professional. However, there are some signs of age in the rooms, and the food prices can be a bit steep. Overall, it's a nice place that we would definitely return to.

Rooms
8.0
We stayed in an Executive room that was spacious, clean, and had a fresher vibe than our previous visit's Regal Room, but some areas showed age.
Service
7.0
The staff was professional and mostly helpful, but we did notice that some areas could have been cleaned more thoroughly.
Location
9.0
The resort is tucked away in a nice spot near Adamo winery and offers beautiful natural surroundings for a relaxing experience.
Dining
7.0
Dining was good with a great variety but a bit pricey. The food quality was better than average, which was a plus.
Facilities
8.0
The outdoor areas, including fire pits and patios, were great for relaxation, but some could use additional decor to enhance the atmosphere.

6.2/10

The Hockley Valley Resort has a beautiful property with a nice golf course and ski lifts, but the rooms are dated and in need of refurbishment. While the dining experience was good, there were issues with service and meal quality that detracted from the overall experience. The location is picturesque and tranquil, but it can feel a bit chaotic with families nearby. Given the room conditions, I would not say this place represents great value for the price.

Rooms
5.0
The rooms were very outdated and in need of a makeover. Ours had a small balcony, but the decor and carpets felt reminiscent of a ski lodge rather than a luxurious space.
Service
6.0
The service was hit or miss. While some staff were friendly, there were noticeable lapses in attentiveness, especially during the dining experience.
Location
8.0
The location is peaceful and picturesque, with nice views of the pond and golf course, but it felt a bit tucked away and not as vibrant as I hoped.
Dining
7.0
Dining at Cabin 1865 was a mixed bag. The three-course dinner was pricey, and while my husband enjoyed his meal, my lamb chops were overcooked, which was disappointing.
Facilities
5.0
The facilities need updating, especially the hot tub and sauna, which were not clean or working properly.

Hockley Valley Resort offers a beautiful setting with excellent breakfast options and a great golf course. Unfortunately, the experience was marred by delays in check-in, room readiness, and some disappointing service interactions. The accommodations could use an update for comfort, though there are some nice facilities available.

Rooms
6.0
The rooms were clean but average, with two queen beds and a dated TV. Regrettably, they could have been more comfortable as the beds were not ideal for a good night's sleep.
Service
7.0
While most staff were friendly and accommodating, I encountered a few issues with attentiveness during dining that could use improvement.
Location
8.0
The location is quite convenient, offering easy access from Toronto and a lovely view of the surrounding golf course, although it can get noisy due to children in the pool area.
Dining
7.0
The buffet breakfast was full of variety and offered plenty of choices, but the dinner options left much to be desired due to limited availability and some disappointments in quality.
Facilities
7.0
The resort features a nice indoor pool and excellent golf amenities, but the pool area felt crowded and lacked adequate seating.

5.6/10

The resort is set in a beautiful and relaxing location, but it has some notable shortcomings in terms of room quality and dining experience. While I appreciated the upgrade to a larger room, the cleanliness and maintenance of the facilities left much to be desired. The dining experience was chaotic, and service was inconsistent, dampening what could have been a lovely getaway. Overall, it seems the resort has potential, but it definitely needs some TLC to restore its charm.

Rooms
5.0
The room was a decent size and upgraded, but it didn’t feel luxurious. There were issues with cleanliness, and it could use some updating, especially since it smelled of smoke despite being non-smoking.
Service
6.0
Service was hit or miss; some staff were very accommodating, but overall, many seemed inexperienced and didn't attend to guests' needs adequately.
Location
8.0
The location is gorgeous and offers a relaxing environment just a short drive from the city. It’s away from the hustle and bustle, making it an ideal escape.
Dining
5.0
Dining was quite frustrating. We faced long waits for dinner, and there was a lack of communication regarding reservations. Although breakfast had good variety, the dining experience overall was chaotic and not well managed.
Facilities
5.0
The amenities were underwhelming; the pool was small and lacked comfortable seating, and other facilities needed better maintenance.
